I know a little hebrew. David would be pronounced dah-veed (spelled like David). Jesus would be Yoshua (Joshua with a Y).

Davis is "David" (pronounced: Da- Veed), and it is written "דוד".

Jesus is Yeshu ("ישו"), in Hebrew, but that is in fact a shortening for "Yehoshu'a", written "יהושוע".
