I've been making this for years, it's an easy recipe. My daughter says it the best! Hope you like it. It's also good with 1/2 cup chopped nuts added.
Banana Bread
3 large ripe bananas
1 cup sugar
1 egg
4 Tablespoons butter, melted and cooled
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Lightly grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan; set aside.
In a bowl, mash bananas. Beat in sugar, then egg and butter.
In another bowl, stir together flour, salt and baking soda; add to banana mixture and stir just until all flour is moistened. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake for 55-65 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pan 10 minutes, then onto rack to cool completely.
