Could it be............that you are using BALL PARK FRANKS that plump when you cook them? you need to use skinnier wieners so they dont get stuck!!

You must be talking about buns. No one puts hot dogs into the oven.
Toasters are not designed for buns. Place them in the broiler for a couple of minutes.

They use to sell toasters that an extra area on it for hot dogs. Don't know if they still sell them or not.

because they aren't supposed to put in the toaster, unless it's a toaster oven, but it doesn't sound like you're using a toaster oven.

This is not the place to be stickin' your wiener. A burnt up, shriveled wiener is not a good outcome. Who would want to choke down one of those. If you want to get your wieners plump, hot and juicy quickly I suggest placing your wiener between the bun and slap it into the microwave.

the secret is buying the really thick hotdogs and slicing them. Leaving them round causes them to get stuck.
