I would say potatoes, they do come from the ground, and here is a little note: has you wife every tried making peas & potatoes as a combined dish, it is very good on a cold winter day, boil the potatoes, put some oil in a pan with some sauce, mix them both in there add flavor and it is a easy and good dish.
