The wiccan religion was a start for me on my true path in life. I no longer practice the religion but I still practice witchcraft. I am a solitary witch.

I have been Wiccan for the past 10 years. I grew up in a Catholic family. At an early age I started questioning what I was taught. I became discouraged when I didn't get the answers I was seeking. I started checking out different faiths - different sects of Christianity, Judaism and many others. Then I found Wicca. I finally started getting the answers I was seeking and I found that the teachings were true in my heart and soul. I've never turned back. I'd found my path!

I believe in Wicce- as in the Wise Men that the old Kings of Europe sought Council from. WHile they practiced paganism, it is a completely different creature now.

Wicca today is, for the most part, completely divorced from Paganism- in Wicca there is a heavy imbalance, just as there is in Christianity- the only difference is taht this time the imbalance shifts in the Womens favor.

Wicca itself was founded back in the 50's at the very earliest, although I am more inclined to believe it was more the mid-to-late 60's. It came to be when in Europe, in was no longer illegal to be a Witch, and then it sprung up, and the Banner was carried by Raymond Buckland here to America. And thus, was Wicca born, using an old term for The Wise Men, and loosely based on what it was to being with.

Used to be that there was a complete balance between the God and Goddess- and that people understood that She gets her power from Him.

Ithought belief in wicca was a prerequisite for wiccans. Just like christians, ya know, kinda have to believe in christ.

But no, I'm a chatoe, and if I close my eyes tightly enough, I can pretend wiccan's don't exist. Is that good enough?

Have been a wiccan for more than 25 years now.
It made more sense, it isn't judgemental, it doesn't condem non-believers, it doesn't "recruit", it isn't hitting you up for "tithes", or tell you that you are a bad wiccan if you don't spread the word... and about 1000 more reasons.

I have many Wiccan friends and it seems to a very beautiful and rewarding path. However, I feel called to a different neo-pagan path.

I am a Pagan with Wiccan influences.

And why else, besides the fact I found it to be the truest thing for me?

Not a Wiccan, but I like it. Not quite for me--I practice chaos/ceremonial magic--but I appreciate it.

I am not but would consider it IF I felt I needed something in life to worship. At the moment I am fine, I am answerable to no one, live life to the fullest and most of all, happy!
