I agree that it's fun to be silly at times (as oppossed to mean) but I disagree that we are all starved for affection.

I believe it is a low mentality or immaturity. It's like the potty talk that my 3 year old thinks is so funny. Their mind can not grasp a more adult concept yet they feel the need to ask a question. Therefore their questions lack any sign of intelligence.

I think it's the ability to say what you want or even don't want to say, to cause a stir and not have an identity to go with it. Basically it's free speech in a big way. The worst that can happen to you is you get banned from the site. You don't get attention satisfaction if no one knows who you are.
It is also immaturity and stupidity.
How many would stand in front of a crowd with some of their racist comments??

I think they are gummy-bear deprived. If everyone ate more gummy bears, they would feel less of a need to look for attention, negative or otherwise. I wonder if some of those posting the really bizarre questions do that on other sites as well.

I agree there are many attention seeking behaviors displayed on this site. I think it's a combination of immaturity and lack of a supportive group of family and friends.

They need attention and focus on certain people. Why? I have no idea. It may be they are so self deluded they think you are a joke, and then harass you. They lack any iota of intelligence. I wonder how they get through daily life myself.
