Anything sweet smelling attracts some bugs. Others are attracted to light.

Depends on the type of bugs. Usually sugar. Try kool-aid, soda, melted popsicles, raw fruit pieces. That will attract them, not sure how to "collect" them other than putting the stuff in a jar, and if one goes in, putting a lid on them.

If you want flying bugs, put it up on a table outside, if you want crawling bugs, put it on the ground.

A nice jar with a lid or a plastic bowl with a tight lid will do nicely. Nothing will replace the fact that you simply must get "down and dirty" by crawling behind shrubs, on the grass, on the basement floor, and near garbage cans to get the little critters. Good luck!

Jar, lid, small fish net, food outdoors. They will come. "Caught"!Close lid and they will die. Go on the Internet and "Ask Jeeves".
