Windex or some kind of glass cleaner works well. I use it at home and I used it in my classroom for years.

This has happened to me before. This sounds crazy, but will work. Over top of the dry erase (or permenant) marker writing that won't erase, write with a dry erase marker. The new fresh marks make it easier to wipe off the old writing.

Dry erase board cleaner, windex, and other glass cleaner also work.

Mariposa is right. I had to do this all last year because I could never remember which marker worked best on laminate. Write over the old marks with new and it will come off much easier. Is it the soft whiteboard material or hard like the board? I had a dry erase memo board that was crap- nothing would erase. I just scrapped it. If your calendar is just laminated, use vis-a-vis instead. They come off much easier with alcohol, baby wipes, or Clorox wipes.
