When people reject the claim that Muhammad was a prophet of God?

If so, why don't you understand, that when you relegate Jesus Christ to the same level as Muhammad it angers us Christians?

Whether you mean to be vicious or not, quite a few of us view it as an insult.

Oh and for the kids, or those of you who are bored, or those of you who love sarcasm, this is a serious question.

If you don't have a serious answer then just say...thanks for the two points then, go on your merry way and have a blessed day.

Salaam.

1st of all, I would never make the mistake of speaking for ALL Muslims. As you see, people tend to believe the thoughts of one extremist to be the will of ALL Muslims.

No. It does not anger me when you state your beliefs. Although, unlike most Christians on this post, if religion MUST be discussed, I would try to focus on the things that we can agree on.

It is not my purpose to convert you to Islam. Ma'sha'allah ( If Allah (SWT) deems it so), it will happen.

It has already been stated by Allah in the Holy Qur'an how to address attacks on Islam OR a disagreement in beliefs:

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful -

Say: O ye that reject Faith!
I worship not which ye worship,
Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
And I will not worship that which ye are wont to worship,
Nor will ye worship that which I worship.

To you be your way, and to me mine.

As-salaamu-alaikum (Peace be with you)...

You are encouraging people to put themselves in the shoes of others, and that is a good thing.

The problem at this site is not when people share their beliefs; it's that they share them in a way that essentially says, "This is what I/we believe, and if you don't, you're wrong!"

This leads to 1)people getting defensive and angry and 2)people becoming even more intolerant of other beliefs.

I have studied the Prophet Muhammad's life. And while I am a Christian, I have a deep admiration for what he did during his life, and for Muslim beliefs and practices.

peace

As neither a Christian or a Muslim, I mean this is the nicest, most respectful way.

Most everyone has some opinion on religion, be it Judaism, Christianity, Hinduism etc. Of course, they are going to believe that the one that they have chosen is they best. Why shouldn't they be able to express their opinions? That being said, one person's opinion may (naturally) upset someone who has a different opinion. Maybe they are not doing it to upset you (and the Christian faith), but simply to express their viewpoint.

Hope I didn't offend! Really is a serious answer!

It could desire to be some thing to do with poverty. the place there's no desire of achievements human beings tend to hold on the fringe of anger of having not something to look forward to different than for his or her faith in a God and its faith which will in no way ever fill an empty abdomen. They aspire needs yet economically they can't extremely locate the money for the purposes of life, being nutrition, safeguard, clothing and scientific tips in return for his or her difficult labour the place there is not something left on the tip of the day. training additionally comes into the coolest deal because it facilitates a society to develop their life type via concepts it is often constrained to the prosperous and strong dictators who rule with the gun. Then there is the omit interpretations via the Caliphs via coaching hatred of the western worldwide democracy using fact the Caliphs desire to regulate their flock unto themselves. so as I see it if the moderates of the Islamic worldwide do not face as much as those dictators who desire to unfold hatred and conflict against every physique who's extremely distinctive then there'll constantly anger introduced against the Muslim anger to boot.

Looks to me that neither side can be happy, because for a Muslim to say that Jesus was greater than Muhammad is blasphemy, as it is blasphemy for a Christian to say that Muhammad was a prophet.

Why not just agree to disagree?

They both claimed to speak the word of God.

They both dictated lessons through oral tradition that were only written down many years later.

Jesus never claimed to be the son of God, his followers made that claim.

Most zealots get upset when their religion of choice is questioned or said to be false. That's inherent in the memescape of religions.

I think you knew the answer to your quesiton before you posted it and are just trying to stir up a hornets nest, but that's just my opinion.

well first of all, people's opinons are they're own...and if you dont believe that Muhammad was a prophet, then fine, your loss. but muslims DO believe that Jesus was a prophet, not the son of God or God himself.
