Hopefully, no human gets the tapeworm. First sign is your belly will become very large if the tapeworm has grown quickly and over a period of time. You will eat a lot and all the food nourishment will not give you the benifit. You will become very skinny with a huge belly. The tapeworm eats all the food your body needs. Medicine should take care of it, but it is very important to get the head of the tapeworm out. If the long shells are passed through your bowels, and there is no head with, then the tapeworm will continue to grow more segments. It is an awful thing to have. It is un-believable how many humans have parasites. Round worms. Pin worms and to me the worse would be a tapeworm. Usually the sign is: Big Belly and skinny bones.

Most infected people do not produce any symptoms. During the acute stage of disease, which has its onset about 10 days after eating raw or insufficiently cooked fish, the symptoms may be similar to other tapeworm infections. This includes symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal discomfort and pain, flatulence, vomiting, nausea, and weakness. Chronic infestations may produce some of the same symptoms or only vague discomforts including fullness in the upper abdomen, water retention, loss of weight, and malnutrition. Some people are constantly hungry because the tapeworms are eating most of the food. There are times when the worm gets so large that it will cause a colon blockage. In some people a severe anemia may develop, because of this tapeworm's ability to consume most of its host's vitamin B12. Folate may be reduced as well. With the anemia that results, neurological symptoms can manifest including numbness, loss of vibration sense, and even some eye symptoms.

there are different tapeworms , and dogs also get them from licking fleas ; theorectically you can get tapeworms but that you would have to eat fleas .For the dog you give it medicine

HOW DO WE GET RID OF THEM?

Tapeworms are killed by different medications (Our hospital uses one called “DRONCIT” (brand name of “ Praziquantel”) which is administered by injection or tablet. The tapeworm is killed and digested with the pet’s food. It is not passed in the stool later.

if they have the environment they need they `re probably there. A bad diet is the problem.Toxins are very difficult to be digested so they stay in our intestines. And that is good food for worms. But if you get the good food ( less toxins) they stay hungry and so you get rid of them.
