In the bible it says homosexuality is a sin, but you really don't need to look in the bible to figure that out. Not to be graphic, but a man's sperm is made to go into a womans vagina to bear a child, not to go in a man's anus. I guess masturbation and anal sex with a woman would fit into this catergory too, right. Please, only intelligent answers, and again, I am not judging anyone or condemning anyone.

I know that even though I said I'm not condemning anyone, some smarta-s-s is gonna say I am

You got it completely right! Good question!!! Your thinking has clearly not been distorted by sin in your own life. Also, I see that are not saying that sex is only for pleasure, as some others attest, but that it cannot be for pleasure alone--right on! And you are right in saying that you are condemning anyone--you are talking about acts, not people. It is true that those that commit such acts will feel condemnation, but just remember that this type of reaction is a result of their own feelings of guilt--which is so much easier for them to attribute to you rather than their own actions.
Your reasoning is logical and processional. Have you given any thought as to what contraception does to the sexual act between married persons? It too perverts it for exactly the same reasons that those other acts are warped. Contraception encourages its practitioners to use one another, to seek pleasure apart from responsiblity (it's okay to have sex during fertile periods so as to avoid pregnancy at that time, but to have sex during such periods perverts an otherwise natural and good act), and it leads them to see children as both a commodity and an undesireable outcome (versus a blessing).
God Bless!

P.S. In response to some other posts: Just because somethings FEELS good, doesn't mean that it is good for you. An example of this is actually anal sex--it may feel good at that time, but it's unhealthy for the man in terms of sanitariness, it's unhealty for the woman/reciever in terms of her colon (leads to hemorroids, fissures, loss of colon, and some other diseases). Another lesson God shows us is that just because something IS good, doesn't mean it is good for you all the time. I love ice cream, but I didn't regulate myself into how much I eat it and when, it would be unhealthy for me. I would become obsese, develop over health problems and eventually, that would kill me. But God gives me a brain and reason and I can come to the conclusion that there is a time and place for enjoying ice cream. Natural intercourse is a good--no, wonderful--thing. It's a gift from God! But that doesn't mean there isn't a context that God provides for us in which to enjoy it healthily. And thank God for that:)

The Bible also says killing, divorce, and eating pork is a sin too. The Bible also says women should not be teachers.

So, yes, as a straight man, homosexuality seem strange. But, heterosexual sex seems pretty strange too, if you think about it.

Plus, sex isn't only about producing children. My wife and I have sex all the time, but have only two children...

I've known too many gays and lesbians in my lifetime to see them as sinners simply based on their sexual preference. And while this might sound horrible to some, I trust my experiences with them more than I do a book written by flawed, faithful men some 2000 years ago.

And I consider myself a Christian. Peace.

no i dont think you are condeming .. you asked in a more respectful way than many i have seen
and without getting too graphic either , it is true that someone can have an orgasm via anal sex ... now i would have to ask why that is , if it is not meant to be done ?
i would also have to say that no one that i know of would choose a homosexual life , with all the torment they are subjected to ... unless it is a life that seems natural for them and they have no option but to follow it
again without being too graphic .. it is common knowledge that during dream state a man can release sperm due to the increase in blood in the genital area ... if it is a sin to spill your seed for any means other than child bearing ... why would god allow this to happen ?
and masterbation i cannot see as a sin in any way for the reasons given above also

Yeah I agree with you. I think the reason why there's something called "sex" is because it's a way to multiply species. And two same genders cannot multiply themselves with sex.
Therefore, it seems kind of unnatural for people to be completely homosexual.

The reason why I think sex was originally for reproduction only? Well think about it this way... Let's say we don't ever have sexual urges. We wouldn't want to do it, then, right? Because we'd think it's completely unnecessary to do "certain things", because without the urges, we'd just think it's very gross.

Maybe all this "love" and "attraction for this person", are just sexual attractions.

Maybe those who claim that they're completely homosexual grew up with the same gender as kids for a long time, and then it's hard for them to express emotions or something with the opposite gender. I don't really know. This is just my opinion.

Glad I'm not one of those people that are like "Well the bible says this and that..."? I don't think homosexuality is unnatural because it's a "sin". All what I just said is based on scientific facts and theories, not some religious gibberish, like some very important guy called "God" doesn't like it or something.

If you read the whole verse, homosexuality is classified right alongside disobedient children.

Don't take it out of context. If you want the punishment for one thing, you have to take it for all of it.

And from what I'm reading, you're saying sex isn't for pleasure but only for reproduction? I'd go back to the Bible and check out Song of Solomon.

Was there a question in that?

If youre asking whether anal with a girl is sin I would have to say no.

The Bible doesnt call homoexuality wrong because of the anas being invoved, (although is not recommended for medical reasons) it calls it wrong because it is sexual activity between 2 subjects that shouldnt be having sex. (male-male, female-female, male-animal, animal-female, mother-son, etc etc)

If you look at it that way, shouldn't all sex that does not result in a pregnancy be considered a sin? It is pleasure with no purpose, so surely god would not condone any sex act that doesn't result in a child.

My question to you is why do you care so much what other people do in the privacy of their own homes? They aren't hurting you, they aren't forcing you to watch, no children are involved... so why do you care?
