I've had floaters for ten years. They are simply bits of tissue that have torn loose from the retina, and what you are seeing are actually shadows of these particles. They are perfectly harmless, but extremely annoying -- at least in the beginning. Eventually they will sink away from the field of vision, but it takes a while. When that happens, you will still have them, but will hardly notice them anymore, and will only see them if you make an effort to do so. Most people in the age group of 50-60 have floaters. They are fairly common and normal. There is nothing medically that can be done. However, here is one caution: If you suddenly get a whole lot of new floaters, see your eye doctor ASAP. There could be a retinal tear which is serious, but fortunately, those can be successfully treated.

Hi Twinklestar-this was the only way I could reach you since you have no e-mail access and I wanted to say that you making an assumption by saying "wait til you get older" to my question about heaven is exactly what I mean by manufactured mind produce. You created a false belief system by thinking I am young. I am older. So, just what is it that I am to be waiting for?
I guess, my point is, don't make assumptions. You wrote "Your opinion will change" My opinion will change to what? When?
Oh, and by the way, my eyes are full of floaters and it sucks!

My eye doctor says floaters are harmless. If it really bothers you, you can see a opthomologist. They can do a procedure where they can flush out the floaters, but its expensive.

I've had them once and the doctor said they weren't anything to worry about. But if you have them a lot its best to get your eyes checked by a professional. Your peepers are the only ones you have. So regardless what you read here -- get it checked.
