I'm sick of the non-Christians answering Christian questions/thoughts, likewise with Christians getting into the non-Christian questions. If I'm asking a Christian question, I don't want the non-Christians throwing in their sarcastic, non-believing remarks....I didn't ask you, I'm asking the Christians!!!!

I agree with you. I do have a question though, why do Christians constantly tune into the 'Gay/Lesbian" section to disapprove of everything there, scream "sin and bible" and then retreat to the safety of their computer? Same issue, isn't it? No converts are going to be made here. Why do people keep trying?

If a non-Christian would go to the source of all truth, the Bible, and attended a Bible Study they would learn the answers. We do not know all the answers. If the people do not believe what the Bible says, living a life like the Bible professes would be a good life not bad. We Christians are not perfect by any means. The only perfect person is Jesus, but we can strive for perfection. God is Love. Unfortunatly there is evil in this world. Non Christian ask questions to be informed. They are curious about God. You never know if you are planting a seed when You answer their question. Christians can be sarcastic too. There is a difference between being righteous and being self righteous. God loves everyone !!! Even if we don't.

First and foremost, this is an open forum. While I am not Christian, I am a believer... it is difficult to imagine why you would want such a limited set of answers unless of course your only purpose is to shore up your shaky beliefs.

My being a follower of the Tao does not make my answers any less valid. I am an ex-christian, so can speak from the perspective of someone who has seen the christian side of things. If I tend towards sarcasm, which I do upon rare occasion, it is due to my disbelief that anyone could not see the failure in the logic of the person stating the question. (this generally happens when someone is so bigoted and out of line trashing someone that it seems they have earned my sarcasm)

If you only want Christian answers perhaps there is a Christian forum where you can go ask your questions. Don't expect folks on Yahoo not to answer just because you don't want the opinions of anyone but a right wing conservative bible thump-er.

I occasionally click on them because I am interested in learning about others perspectives.
Although I am not a Christian there are times I do have the correct answer. The other night someone asked "Who cut Samson's Hair?" Many people answered...(mostly Christian), only myself and 2 others had the correct answer.
Furthermore I have never answered something with a sarcastic, non-believing remark.
BTW, just because I am not Christian does not make me a non-believer. I do believe, it is just a different belief than yours.

I think Christianity is a great religion. I have some dogmatic problems with it, but that's all. I've been involved in some way with Christian churches all my life, and most are happy to have me come along and help out--plus I appreciate the learning experience. Plus people do throw up some thoughtful and meaningful questions at times that I like to be able to weigh in on...that and I think Christianity has divided itself away for far too long, considering what they profess to believe.

Some to test you, some to annoy you, to to try to teach you something that you may or may not know. If it really upsets you that much, when you see an answer you don't want to see, just click the little thumbs down and poof, the answer goes away. I'm Christian and have no problem with anyone answering my questions, I have my beliefs and everyone else has theirs, but the one thing that annoys me the most are religious people that type in non believers, heathens, blah blah blah but then again ... people generally are going to write what they want to write, regardless of whether you want their two cents or not ... they want their 2 points :) Have a good day and I hope you find what you are looking for :) -Wally

"even click on"?

Um, sometimes I click on the question to read it and read the answers.

This IS a public forum, the q's and a's are here for all interested parties to read.

However, I do agree, in general, that when someone is asking a question about what Christians believe, it's silly for atheists to chime in about how it's all bs, and vice versa, when someone is asking a question about what atheists believe, it's wrong for Christians to chime in with "they really WANT to believe" or "they're governed by Satan" etc.

On the other hand, I have responded to questions addressed to parents and to men and to other groups to which I don't belong, if I have something to add. But I don't do it just to say that all men suck, or whatever.

On yet another hand (yes, I often get myself into octopusLand), when it's a "question" addressed to Christians that's along the lines of "don't you agree that all atheists are scum" I sometimes respond (and sometimes report).

It would be nice if more participants kept the purposes of this service in mind before responding.

I guess only the people that agree with you should answer? Makes for an interesting discussion I guess. Lots of agreement all the way around. "What? You think something differently than us? Well, you must be a bad person." Kinda close-minded if you ask me, which apparently you didn't. Hope I have upset you, as I am not a Christian.

there's a e book the christians use to partially base their theology on and it demands loving your neighbor.. yet by some ability that not often seems to be enforce. i do no longer think of the e book is to blame i think of by the years they won an exclusivity that in case you have not got faith as I do you're no longer worth. once you're 'particular' contained in the theological experience you become a non-conformist of types. i come across it outstanding that they do no longer see that all and sundry of their very very own way is particular and unique. i'm able to comprehend the way you experience.. i've got met good christians who're prepared to stay and enable stay and that i've got met some that in case you are able to no longer see issues their way you are the worst sinner, you're hell-sure between different issues. i come across that nerve-racking because of the fact i wouldn't decide somebody like that. besides the indisputable fact that i won't end them from doing that. i attempt to remember that I even have greater appropriate emotions than that and there are human beings available that love me and prefer me and look at me a pal no count my ideals and that's sufficient to make me experience greater appropriate. They call your ideals a cult because you will no longer adjust to what they think approximately the widely used is. they do no longer understand that in many cases people who stay in glass residences shouldn't throw stones.

If you want closed forums, spend the money to have a site and learn to run a forum where you can tell people where to post or not to post. Untill then, you should remember that this site is open (within the rules laid out by the company that owns it) to anyone who wants to answer. THEY set the rules, not you.
