Heres the scenerio, I am a poor single mother o2, that looks pretty good. Anyhow, I was working at a coffee shop back in December when I met this cop, blonde hair, blue eyes, pretty cute. Well let me get back to the begining, my ex boyfriend was shot in the head, prior to meeting this cop. And I asked him to investigate it, and gave him lots of details, some which he could use against me if he wanted. Anyhow, I ended up dating this guy (cop). We sent each other alot of e-mails which I have saved. Anyhow, I was dating him up until 2 days ago, when I found out that this entire time we have been dating, he has had a live in girlgriend, and attorney to be prcise. Now I'm worried about them screwing with my life as she has threatened to do. What should I do?

That's what you get for dating a cop...

Cops are typically power hungry people. They desire control, with excessive force if necessary. They are not afraid to use violence. They often have anger problems as well. Which they mask with a "friendly" personality. So, it's pretty obvious why he would be attracted to a "powerful" lawyer. Who's also attracted to the "powerful" cop. Meanwhile, you were just a coffee shop waitress. A single mother at that. He used his status to swoop you up, and hell, you have to believe that the police are good right? wrong. He used his power and image to swoop up a poor single mother, who was in need of somebody to love her, perhaps to protect her......

Anyway, if you've been getting threats, if they are on the phone, get one of those tape recorders that hook up to your phone. Then simply record her (because hopefully you have caller ID). Either way the phone records will show that she called. Keep the e-mails, but the lawyer probably has the return e-mail. That's probably how she found out.

In the meantime, to re-assure you, if it's the lawyer who's threatening you and not the cop I wouldn't worry about it. She's just jealous. As far as I'm concerned, you're both victims. It's the cop who lied and was unfaithful to you both. Hell, he's probably got another girl somewhere.

Anyway, everything I said may be crap, but I had fun writing it. I think the beginning of this e-mail would make a pretty good argument. More than likely they wont do anything. Leave the cop alone. Don't date cops. If that's the kind of guy you like, date firemen. Just look out for the firemen who really wants to be a cop.

Sorry this happened to you....

**** the police!

wow u poor girl, that's a toughie! i know what she is doing with the threats about using info u gave that dolt of a cop is illegal. i don't know where u r but here in canada we have the 'Ombudsman' and the 'MLA' to call for advice and they can give u numbers to call or try free legal advice from law students at a university (they usually have a hot line u can call). good luck, I'm sure that she is just hurt and bluffing with the only thing she has to use and its probably not the first time its happened.

First of all she can't "threaten" you in any way just because you "dated" her boyfriend. If shes a lawyer then she should know better.Find out what firm she works for.Im pretty sure she can lose her license for uttering threats. And i hope you dont talk to this guy ever again.Cops are all players anyways.Just be glad youre not the "live in" girlfriend.good luck.

Back Off, a cop and a live in lawyer? Back the emails he sent you on to CD and give it to a friend, and back off him and her. No further communications at all. Block his email and her email addresses on your computer. It really smells.

are you be able to call him at home ...go to his place of resident, be seen in public with him..if the answer is no to all of the above than, you should have known something was up...sounds like you wanted to cling to the first person that gave you some attention
