I enjoy working out when I'm stressed out. Things like running, swimming, riding bike, etc. It's a great stress reliever as well as benefiting your body at the same time. Two birds with one stone.

People handle stress in different ways but to try and generalize this to offer advice, I would say that things like talking to or spending time with a family member or friend, exercising, meditation, having a few drinks (not excessively drinking and getting completely wasted...though some people do this..), writing out your feelings in a journal, going for a walk, doing a hobby or activity that they enjoy, reading, etc. might help ease the difficulties that stress can bring to an individual... Hope this helps...

Your symptoms could be caused by many things. The thing that strikes me the most concerning is your high bp. Have you ever had trouble with your bp? How about weight, have you noticed a gain or loss? I would see your primary doctor, and ask for some adrenal function tests, and also a thryoid check, including T3 and T4. The tests for the adrenals should include catecholamines(usually done with a 24hr urine collection) cortisol, DHEA, renin, aldosterone, and testosterone. The reason I say check the adrenals is become the adrenal glands are partially responsible for everyone's FLIGHT OR FIGHT response. Too little or too much of these important hormones can cause changes in blood pressure, weight, mood, and cause a lot of anxiety. Good luck to you, and I hope you're able to get this figured out soon.

What makes you feel good? When you are stressed, sometimes you need to do more for yourself to relax your mental state and regain control of yourself and your life. You can not focus and do your best if you are stressed. Sometimes you NEED to take a breather to figure out what is going on and to get your mind back on track. Do you like nature? Mabe you can sit outside somewhere where it's very quiet, where no one can bother you mabe at night so you can just gaze at the stars and relax. Some people get very depressed and need to talk to someone that they can trust and get all of their emotions out that are all bottled up inside. I was very depressed in the past and I have tried many things. Sometimes you just have to try alot of things to see what works for you. Don't be afraid to try things, otherwise you will just be stuck feeling the way you do. If depression persists talk to your docter about it cause they have delt with many cases of depression and are expierenced in that sort of thing. Cheer up your doing great! :)

You could try cooking something you really like for yourself or your family. That may take your mind off of things for a while. Or instead of being sad-think of the good things in your life. Watch some funny movies. Maybe take a hot bath and just relax. Try to eliminate what is causing the stress also.

pray to God or become a Christian....God is the best person to help you and heal you with anything

run and stretch, excercise as much as you can per week

change yourself by talking lovingly and confidently to yourself in your mind each day

everybody has stress and problems like you no matter what it looks like or you believe about them

try to keep your mind busy doing things you like. in this i am not suggesting to ignore your feelings, just don't sit on them for a long time

write your thoughts on paper

sing....it can relieve stress because you are talking out loud and using a lot of energy

take care :)

You can "relieve it" in many ways, as you can see from the other responses. But the only real solution is to find out what is causing that stress and think about what you can do to stop it. Sometimes you have to be radical, like changing your career, avoiding someone, facing someone, avoiding places, avoiding old habits, etc. It's worth it, specially if it's causing depression.

i heard this on the radio this morning, but try getting a massage. It helps decrease the stress hormone cortizone and increase the happy hormones like dopamine. Its naturally relaxing. Who wouldnt feel good after a massage?

you can journal, go for a brisk walk/jog, take a shower, sex helps, ask your dr for something for stress/anxiety and if you are depressed you might be willing to try an anti-depressant prescribed by your dr depending on the severity of your depression
