Tomatoes have no flavor, you cut open a nice red strawberry and inside it's white and flavorless, the last several salmon fillets I bought tasted awful....what happened to food in the last decade or so that now it's all bland?? It seems like such a rarity to get really fresh, good tasting food anymore. Is it the growth hormones or something? Am I the only one to notice this?

Yep, it's the growth hormones that all the foods have been injected with. Although this is an expensive solution, if taste is important to you, try switching to an organic grocery store. They truly have foods that have not been messed around with and taste sooo great! The way they should...

Here, there is Wild Oats, Trader Joes, and Sunflower. Look on the internet for places near you.

Maybe not neccesarily hormones, but accelerated growth is the reason. The mass-grown produce carried by most grocery stores has been selected for shelf-life and appearance, actual quality makes a distant third. Try shopping at a farmer's market or a grocery that specializes in all-natural food. Your food will cost more, but it will taste better.

actually over the last 2 decades there has been a depletion in the earths minerals, due to the over population and no rest to the land. the earth needs rest to produce healthy and nutritious food. If you grow your own veggies, then let you property rest one year, to allow the nutrients to settle in the ground. with all the herbicitals, and pesticides in the vegitables, they are killing the bugs that release the nutrients our bodies need.
