The fact of the matter is many don't like it but have no choice in the matter.Not many people choose to be stupid but they can choose to be ignorant by not reading or having any original thought.This is painfully obvious by some of the answers you've received to this question.Remember that ignorance is a choice not stupidity.

Let's clarify. Stupid is born. Stupid is the inability to learn or retain. Stupid is not a choice. Ignorance is lack of knowledge by circumstance or choice. When you don't study or do your homework that is ignorance. When someone can't learn regardless of their desire or lack thereof, that's stupid. If I had to guess, I'd say no, people do not like to be stupid. There are a large number of them, however who embrace ignorance with no qualms.

No they don't but some people can't help its who they are and then some people suffer from temporary stupidity.
