I think that you and your friend are close that you should discuss it together and maybe both ask him out at the same time and let him make that decision. that way you won't hurt your friends feelings and you will know which one he likes better

i was in same situation in yr 7, r u sure this guy likes you too or you could be riskin your friend ship, we all have our own feelings but i'm quite glad i never done anything with the guy in yr 7

If he knows that you both like him he will decide which one of you
he wants to have. Does he know that you like him? You are the
only one that you have to worry about. I am sure your friend will
act on this too, if she likes the man too.
