I'm not sure how you can cook a spaghetti that I'm going to taste...but I'd be happy to share one of my recipes with you.

First of all, you need to make sure that the pasta that you use is not overcooked. This can ruin a good spaghetti. Also, when you use tomato paste, you need to make sure not to "burn" or cook it too long, it will sour the taste of the sauce. AND, don't saute' the garlic too long, the taste of the sauce will be bitter.
Good luck:

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
2 Onions chopped
4-5 Crushed garlic cloves
1 can Tomato sauce
1 SMALL can tomato paste
1 can diced tomatoes (I prefer the garlic/basil)
2 Tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup Red wine
1 teaspoon Dried leaf basil OR 6 fresh leaves
1/2 teaspoon oregano
few pinches of garlic salt & black pepper

Directions:

Heat oil in a large saucepan set over medium heat. Add onions and garlic. Sauté for 2 minutes. Add tomato paste and stir into the saute. Stir continually for about 4 minutes. Add sugar and stir again.
Then, add remaining ingredients. Cover and bring to a boil, stirring often. Then, reduce heat and simmer, stirring often for at least 15 minutes.

Pour sauce (gravy) over pasta and sprinkle parmesan and/or romano cheese on top. Serve!
Serves 4

hi from ireland-make sure it is "al dente" to the bite at the end of cooking i.e.still slightly hard in the middle-also toss a little olive oil through it at the last moment- this stops it stickimg together -finally serve it immediately while it is still very hot.
