I would suggest, though, that you start by contacting your local Lions Club. Since vision services are one of the primary focuses of the Lions Club service group, they may know of a local source, as well as pricing information.
FYI: In some areas, using a white cane for the blind is illegal unless the user has been medically certified as visually impaired.
