I dont' know the medical reasoning behind it, but I've been smoking for about a year or so, I know all the horrible side effects that come along with it, but honestly it does help control stress. I've been shot at multiple times in war efforts and the first thing i do after everytime is light up a smoke, unfortunately it calms you down.

the main reason you hear about smoking being a stress reliever is that for people who are regulart smokers, being without puts them into stress. so when another situation comes up that is stressful, they smoke. Doesn't really relieve their other stress, but takes away the stress of wanting a smoke. Make sense?

it's really got nothing to do with smoking at all. the stress relief is psychological. smoking raises blood pressure, which is basically just one more form of stress. trust me on that one. i smoke.

Smoking never helped my stress. If I was super nervous the only difference if I lit a cigarette would be instead of my hands shaking empty they would shake with a cigarette in them.

For Smokers (like meself) , yes it does...
It also prevents/delays Alzheimers disease...

It kills many People over 95 years of age...
It kills 0.9 percent of People prematurely

It (cigs) , makes Hypocrites of ANY
GOVERNMENT that allows it......

Anti-Smokers are wowsers.....

If you do not Smoke , it is far Wiser
not to start ....
but if you must , dont do it before 41 !
