There just a common coward. Theres not much difference between them and what they smeared on your window. The only way they can confront you is behind your back. The best you can hope for is to catch one someday, so you can rub there sorry faces in it.

ears are cropped, tails are docked ;-) I guess that makes them extra stupid.... their ignorance is only surpassed by their immaturity, using feces to write is childish at best. These aren't people who fight for animal rights, these are children throwing a temper tantrum because they lack the self-confidence to tell you how they feel and try to educate you on why docking can be bad. IMO certain breeds have a reason to be docked, hunting breeds like weimers can benefit from being docket. A lot of vets are beginning to turn down cosmetic surgeries like tail docks, ear crops, dew claw removal, etc... because the populus is beginning to change it's opinion on why these things are being done. A lot of breeders do this on their own anyway, in most cases it is not the decision of the owner to have their dogs tail cut off. Oftentimes the docking is done before the pup is 5 days old, the same with dew claws.
So I really don't get why someone would do that to you, unless you were a breeder docking the tails off all of your puppies before you sell them. It doesn't make sense otherwise... very very very few adult dogs (or even 3 month olds) get tails docked...
These people have no idea how the world works ;-)

Ha! A little poop isn't going to give them any more of a bad name than they already have! Its nothing compared to the BIG poop they smear on a daily basis!
Don't feel bad about your Weims cropped tail. Dogs with uncropped tails often break them, especially if they are a working dog. Many docked breeds are docked because they have weak tails and break them when working. Better cropped than broken and having to remove it as an adult, which is messy and painful for the dog. Of course, the animal rights lunatics aren't interested in actual FACTS, so nothing you could have told them would have made any difference.

A lot of people just go to the extreme. They think they are right and everyone else is wrong. I raised min pins for awhile and I did dock the tails on them, because people would not buy them without their tails being docked. I hated doing it. My husband talked me into cropping the ears too, but we only did it once because it is such a serious operation and needless unless you are going to show the dogs. Stupid rules say the tails have to be docked and the ears cropped. I think the laws should be changed. At least with the tails being docked it is done at 3 days old with only a very minimal amount of pain. We just have to live with ignorant people who thrust their opinions on everyone else. Those people were cowards that did that to you.

The level of ignorance and immaturity in people is astounding. I also have weimaraners, and my dogs' tails are docked. I can respect that some people disagree with the practice, but there is a reason their tails are docked. Weimaraners are hunting dogs, and yes, my dogs hunt. Have you ever seen a weimaraner with an undocked tail? They have very long tapered tails and unlike other hunting breeds such as setters, labs and golden retrievers, they don't have lots of bushy hair to protect the tail, so they are very prone to snagging and ripping the end of their tail in brush when hunting...so...originally, they had their tails docked to prevent injury while hunting

Personally, I am an animal lover and would never do that to a dog myself, so I understand your position on tail cropping. I guess some people just act before they think sometimes. That person probably did not want to risk getting into an argument and thinks that being sneaky and underhanded is the way to go. I agree that this kind of person is giving us ALL a very bad name.

Most people are just ignorant that's the best answer I can come up with. We rescued a 3 legged German Shepherd he had been shot and had to have his front leg amputated. When out in public with him people look at him like a freak and when they ask whats happened to him and we tell them he was shot we really get the evil eye and then we have to go into to the whole story of his rescue and how life for him is just as good as if he had 4 legs. He doesn't know he has 3 and we sure aren't about to tell him

The human race never ceases to amaze me. That is one of the most ignorant things I've heard in my life. That's what happens when people assume things and jump to conclusions. By the way, a big THANK YOU you for giving a shelter dog a second chance! :)

They are mean BECAUSE they are stupid. You are right in asking why they couldn't just speak to you. That person was a coward as well. I suggest you just let the incident go and concentrate on all the "good" people that helped you clean off the windshield. To hang on to the hate is only hurting yourself.
In the words of one of my favorite actors, "Why can't we all just get along?"

I agree, if you want to fight for animals rights then you should fight.
face to face not like that. If he would of came to you and asked you why you croped your dogs tail? you could have explained that this dog was not mistreated by you but saved by you and the deed was done previously to you becoming this dogs friend.
