Maybe because what's in your fridge is more exciting than what's in your freezer! Just a thought! Also it's handy to have a light in your fridge for midnight snacks. Especially locating chocolate!

Is that like why is there a light in the oven, but not in the microwave? (Answer - I have to change the bulb - again). Or maybe some freezers have lights and some just don't.

i don't really know. the freezer that's connected to my refridgerator has a light, but my stand alone freezer doesn't have a light. maybe it has to do with the freezer temperature...it might be too cold to have a light in it...seeing as my fridge's freezer isn't as cold as my standalone freezer.

i have a samsung fridge freezer and mine has a light in the freezer aswell

well you have one in the fridge so you can maybe sneak downstairs at night and have a drink etc, as for not having one in your freezer, well is it so important, after all your not going to go in the freezer at 3am, and get the beef out to defrost for the sunday roast are you!

Maybe you need to change the bulb in your freezer. I have one in mine.
