Technically, I would pick sugar. It leads to problems with your insulin if overindulged in over a long period of time. Corn syrup is even worse...and it is a leading sweetner. You can become obese, You can become diabetic.
Only 10% of people are sensitive to salt. It can be known to cause blood pressure problems...but with only a small portion of society.
Go with sugar as the worst.

That depends on your personal physical condition. If you have diabetes, sugar is the most dangerous. If hypertension is your problem then salt it more dangerous. If you suffer from both ailments then you are really up the creek.
Too many people try to find simple, absolute answers to questions like this. Heck, too many people try to find simple absolute answers period. The truth is that you have to do a little research and understand exactly what you are dealing with and all that is involved. Your doctor is your best source of answering this question for any given individual.

A small amount of sugar and salt is not going to hurt a healthy individual. The problem is that these substances are found in many processed foods. You may think you are limiting your intake of these but if you look at the ingredients of many products you will find these ingredients. You may not recognize them: Sugar is listed in many ways one of them is high fructose corn syrup. and salt as sodium, and other ways.
Sodium in excess raises your blood pressure and excess sugar can cause spikes in your blood sugar which makes your body produce spikes of Insulin to control sugar levels. Results of consuming too much sugar is Type II Diabetes.

salt by far is worse. sugar in natural form, that being fruits/bread break down to basic sugar. the c/h on your table is processed into a matereial that is foreign to our bodies thus it does not metabolize correctly. salt dehydrates the body causes higher risks of heart problems. i always salt/peppered everything before eating and cooking but now i try the dish first and then adjust to taste. restaurants should take their s/p shakers off the table because they douse most of their menu prior to serving (thats why it tastes good).

I don't really think one is worse than the others. Salt is bad for the heart, but sugar can turn to fat. I think if in moderation, they are both equally good and bad for you.

Sugar. Salt is only bad for you if you have really high cholesterol, but it can't give you high cholesterol, so it's usually ok. Also, only certain kinds of sugar are bad for you. For example, if you eat an apple, the sugar in that is ok, but if you eat a marshmallow, that's bad for you.

Salt makes you retain water, and too much of it is bad for everyone. Too much Sugar can be lethal for a Diabetic, and could make you extra hyper. To much of anything is not good.

I would say salt. It takes out HALF of the water in ur body, if u eat too much. so nauturally, salt is worse. and sugar is good for ur heart...and remeber, try NOT to eat either.
