Three people go for a meal and the meal costs £30. so they al pay £10 each to be fair. The Asisstant collects the money and realises hes overcharged them £5 and really the meal costs £25. He want to keep some money (£2) so he pretends theres an offer where you get £3 back. So they all get back £1 each and the assistant keeps the extra £2. In theory the people have paid £9 so £9 X 3 is £27 the assistant kept the extra £2 which adds up to £29 .......but where has the other £1 gone!!! Because there was £30 in total at first!

It didn't go anywhere it's a play on words

And they didn't pay 27 each because their meal was 25

so you have 25+3+2=30

25 for the meal
2 to the assistant
3 back to the customers ♥

You are assuming that they have paid £25, and gotten £3 back and the assistant kept £2? You then stated that in theory, they have paid £9 each, which would make £27, but it doesn't, because you are then assuming that before the £3 return, they have paid $8 each, which would make £24 in total, when they have infact paid £25. So, there is the missing £1. The return of £3 would make it £28, leaving £2 for the assistant.

£25 + (3 * £1) + £2 = £30

The "problem" above is that you're adding £2 to £27 to get £29, when in fact you should be taking away the £2 to get £25.

when the people have paid in total 27pounds and they get 3 pounds back of course the total would be thirty . u dont add the money the assistant got to the amt they paid because it already is in their bill.ull have to add the amt they got back(3) to what they paid(27) to get the total amt. no money is missing.

It’s a “mathematical mistake” with your so called theories you can prove that 1 + 1 = 3, and that’s not real…
Just another prove that mathematics are wrongly made…:)
really clever riddle!

To the 3 costumers. Each one received back, of their own money, 0,333, which makes 0,333...x 3 = 0,99999.
Clever and funny.
