No, Bush and Blair are the biggest terrorists.

Because they aren't anymore. Even the provisional IRA (the more active of the two branches) is leaning towards disarmament. To be fair, it's a onesided view to say the IRA are the bad guys. An awful lot of killing in Ireland happens from the Ulster loyalist groups too. Having been bombed by the IRA over ten years ago, I'd have to say that the climate between the Irish terrorists and the British Government has certainly cooled.

Of course the other problem is that the IRA are not buried underground in the middle of a war but rather in the middle of suburban villages and towns that contain voters!

Ireland doesnt have oil; what a load of poppycock, they do and quite a bit of it too, so get you facts right before opening you mouth!

Although the IRA have killed more people than the Muslims, the past 5-8years or so its not really been such an issue. The media didnt go into a frenzy back then as they do now with the Muslim terroists and it didnt have such a worldwide impact as it was just against teh british goverment not western civilisation. Since the ceasefire, they have been on good behaviour and are working towards a peaceful solution. How peaceful that will be with the followers of either side and the general population of Ireland is anyone's guess.

Presumably because the British and Irish government are trying to sort it in out a relatively civilised manner with the Northern Ireland Assembly and the peace process etc.

They have to reach a compromise that both the Catholics and the Protestants can live with otherwise things are going to get really bad again. We don't want another Omagh.

Anyway the IRA haven't caused half as much trouble in recent years as the Muslim terrorists. I'll never forgive what the IRA did do to innocent civllians in the name of their "cause". But the Government are trying to sort it out in a diplomatic manner.

As for Bush, well when did the Americans ever give a **** about the people of Britain? They were FUNDING the IRA for the longest time. Hypocrites. They only declare war on terror when THEIR civillians get attacked.

Oh and for "Mariners" - the Protestants in Northern Ireland are of SCOTTISH descent not English! Moron. Shows how ignorant you are.

i love the way that a lot of people are using this question as an excuse to slag off the Irish...hardly fair.

the IRA have caused so much hurt in NI and across the world over the past 35 years. The difference now is that there is a ceasefire (albeit a shaky, and probably temporary, fragile one) and they are no longer blowing up places and killing people, as they once did.

I am not necessarily supporting Bush and Blair in their so-called "war on terror", but they are fighting against those who are now a direct threat to our country. The IRA aren't as big a threat now, thankfully.

Not really sure how you score terrorists however...

The IRA and the British war machine were at war for almost 30 years. Blair wasn't bombing them but his predecessors certainly did try to destroy them.

Also, a lesson that should be learnt from the "Irish problem" is that at some point you have to negotiate with your enemies, however much you may dispise them at the time.

it fairly is been shown previous any doubt, that Iraq management became FINANCING terrorism with the aid of their oil earnings. some traced to Ben laden and different terrorist businesses. Any u . s . a . that helps the killing of electorate, even of their own territories, as Iraq did, actually became component to the image of terror. for the time of any of our worldwide wars, a rustic could declare conflict on any they discovered helping their enemy! In our day and age, it rather is genuinely some Muslims who recommend that any one that may not of their faith might desire to die. there is likewise evidence that Iran is and has been helping terrorism with the aid of funds or maybe some Liberals pronounced looking after that concern! it is stunning as maximum Liberals are against any Republican President on any conflict situation! They make all a play for a vote and for politics no count if the country or our human beings will go through for it. shall we propose that they don't look to be even American for some! So we can not call Bush a terrorists whilst he's attempting to end it.. We might desire to remember, it rather is worldwide and rather some worldwide places have suffered from murders and kidnappings from those animals...Earl

Have you tried to bomb our neighbours? There is a cease fire at the moment, and the last time we tried to kill a lot of Irish, we gave them the idea that one sort of Christianity ruled over the other. (Civil War). It's just that the Irish hasn't realised that they can all live in peace with each other. That Civil War is the reason for everything. I guess we do not want to give them other ideas.

Since the IRA became a political voice, they have worked mostly thru government and violence became less an issue.

I am hoping with time, Hamas will do likewise, if given the chance. Hezbollah----I don't know about.

Bush wants to push his type of government and religion on the Mid-east. He actually believes G-d chose him for this job---poor idiot.

Because the largest voting population in the states are Irish Americans, the British just do what the American tell them to do. No-one in the states care about the English in northern Ireland anyway
