Be careful before you start blaming the victim!

Although it's true the victim is not entirely blameless, the chaos has a huge part to do with the way post WWI & II European imperial powers gave themselves mandates over the regions.

If you're unsure of the history of the region, try the excellent history book A Peace to End All Peace: The Fall of the Ottoman Empire and the Creation of the Modern Middle East by David Fromkin which is easlily availiable on line or any bookstore/library. Or listen to a great audio series by the "Teaching Company' called "United States and the Middle East: 1914 to 9/11,' which is (or was) recently on sale on their website.

Good luck in your search for understanding.

Alot of it is because of George W. not keeping his hands out of it. The poor man actually feels that he has been chosen by G-d to make the big changes here------------first to change their forms of government and then their religion to his ''holier than thou'' Christianity.

Before this the French and the British messed it all up when the Ottomans were driven out, and they began colonizing the region.
