Both are great for cardiovascular, coordingation, and muscle strength. Kickboxing is a more works more of your lower body as opposed to boxing, but both are great!

Great question. It kind of depends what you're trying to get out of it. There are lots of similar classes about like Kaibo, Taibo, Kickboxing, Boxercise, Body Combat, normal boxing... do you want to train one-to-one or in a class? Do you fancy exercising to music or do you want to do more martial arts stuff and work out in a proper do-jo. Its all up to you. With kickboxing your legs would also get quite a workout as you learn how to do roundhouse kicks and other kicks which, if you do enough of them, you can realy feel next day!! All of them are great fun. Why don't you try all of them once and see what you like best? Any exercise you really enjoy you're much more likely to sustain, and at the end of the day its how often and how long you do it for that matters!!
Have fun.

You'll probably get a better aerobic workout with kickboxing, but either should work. Just don't go too far with the normal boxing or you'll develop a whole new set of problems from being knocked in the head.

Kickboxing. You would be using more of your energy, and involve more of yourself. it would provide some additional cardio workout as well.

I would do both. They are both healthy and you should practice both if your interested in self defense. Boxing skills are really important. You will look better and fight a lot better too
