Well obviously that whole seperation of Church and State thing that so many people died for was a big old waste of time.
I am a Christian and a Canadian but we still have the same problems with immigration, although not to extent. Plus I live in Denmark now who has pretty much put a stop to any of this illegal immigrant crap. My opinion on Illegal immigration is that it is illegal and should not be rewarded with a citizenship when there are legitamate cases where people are trying to get married or get there brother over or and have been trying for months and years to do it legally when maybe they shouldn't have bothered.
When immigration starts to have a negative effect on a country and the people are complaining the simple stop allowing everyone in. Maybe it is time to try and see if there is anything that can be done to make it better for people to stay in Mexico.
Addition: Oh and that girl who mentioned about letting the Aliens live amoung them shoudl read a little further where it explains how many generations it was before someone could consider themselves Jewish or the fact that Israel was supposed to whip out other foreigners. Read the whole bible before you open your trap.

Romans 13: 1-7
"Let every person be subordinate to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been established by God. Therefore, whoever resists authority opposes what God has appointed, and those who oppose it will bring judgment upon themselves. For rulers are not a cause of fear to good conduct, but to evil. Do you wish to have no fear of authority? Then do what is good and you will receive approval from it, for it is a servant of God for your good. But if you do evil, be afraid, for it does not bear the sword without purpose; it is the servant of God to inflict wrath on the evildoer. Therefore, it is necessary to be subject not only because of the wrath but also because of conscience. This is why you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, devoting themselves to this very thing. Pay to all their dues, taxes to whom taxes are due, toll to whom toll is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due."
-Although the Bible says to respect immigrants and foreigners, it was written at a time when there were no borders. Since the Bible also says to respect the laws of higher authority (the only exception to this law being if the government wants you to violate the Ten Commandments) the illegals are sinning against God and their "Lady of Guadalupe."

Take it to an Athiest. I say BURN IT. Don't take another penny outta my check for taxes ... no I don't want to pay for section 8! I don't want to have to carry a spanish dictionary around ... I've spent 13 years learning english in which I'm still studying through college, don't make me go back to Spanish 1-2. Religion has nothing to do with this. I have no faith in anything besides the system, which I see is f**cked unless everyone takes it to the vote. YES VOTE! Don't sit around and talk your ish. Stand at the poles and cast.

What possible religious argument can be rationally made regarding the process (or lack) of filling out forms and paperwork when crossing internationally defined borders?
How can that possibly be a religious argument? I don't recall reading anything about the INS in any of the religious scriptures I've read.

For me, no. I'm still and always be anti-illegal, anti-criminal. However, God would want me to treat them with kindness and try to help somebody who is so in the dark and bring them to the light.
God does not see borders or barriers. I really do think our lives have so much more meaning than just "anti-illegal" or "pro-illegal".
