I pulled a muscle on Thursday, and I haven't practiced since then, when would it be okay to start practicing?

This is a good question for someone who practices sports medicine... From my own experience, I find that it depends on the severity of the strain and physical condition of the person who had the strain. I'm assuming that you're younger and in reasonable shape, so with Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation and some Advil this "Should" heal completely within 2-3 weeks provided you don't rush back to full practice. Remember that sports injuries that occur in your teens can haunt you for the rest of your life, I don't want to sound TOO negative, but I think quite a few people will agree with that. Good luck, I hope you recover quickly and have a great season!!

It can take up to 6 weeks for a pulled muscle to heal fully.

Usually it won't be painful for that long.

Depending on the degree of damage done, you can possible go back to light practice in 2-3 weeks time after your injury, but should not return to full on practice for closer to 4 weeks unless it is a very minor injury.

Practising what? Piano or Rugby? A lot depends on that. Those knee or leg wraps on the market are really good. So are some of the ointments. Also massage. Try all of these. Also depends on how you feel. Maybe you should talk to your Dr.

I pulled my hamstring three years ago while playing badminton. It hasn't recovered yet. Its numb. But my case is different as I took too many pills of Neoproxin without doctor's prescription.

But I would recommed that you should at least get a good few months rest before starting full exertion.
