It's a bad habit to let her start but I'm not sure how to stop her. I know she doesn't see anything wrong with her actions. Any idea's?

It's very simple.
When you cannot control the behavior they were built to do, (chew, gnaw, investigate, play...) you must rearrange the environment.
Wouldn't it be easier to wear a worn t-shirt when you are interacting and playing with your bird than to attempt to teach her to stay away from buttons?
Trying to teach your Baby Grey to stop trying to chew your buttons would be like asking you to stop wanting to go to the restroom when you had to. You just have to...it is the way you are built.
When dealing with natural behaviors, it is best to change the enviornment so that "Baby Grey" has no access to them.
If the buttons are not there within her reach...she will not hurt them.
You don't wear your best clothing to straighten up the garage, clean the bathroom, or change the oil in your car.
Birds are built to behave. Do not ask them to do something they are unable to do.
The best method for success in changing an unwanted behavior in a parrot is to first change the enviornment.
If "Baby Grey" can't get to your buttons beacuse they are safely hanging in the closet on your blouse, you no longer have to worry about her getting to them. And you won't be mad at her any more.
Please don't ask her to do something that you could so easily change.
Could you train her to leave your buttons alone?
Of course.
But wouldn't you rather train her to do something more positive...like shoot basketball hoops and talk to you and learn colors and counting?
This can all be done.
It's very easy...just decide what is important.
I don't think "Baby Grey" cares about how pretty you look when you are with her. She just loves you because you are spending time with her! So wear an old shirt. "Baby Grey" won't care...she'll just be happy you are spending time with her and not caring about some buttons. she simply loves you for who you are, not your buttons. Dress for playtime and both of you will be happier!

Birds love bright and shiny things, and your buttons are bright and shiny. When she's on you, distract her with something she equally likes, or better yet, wear a t-shirt or top of some kind that has no buttons. If she's not subjected to temptation, she won't chew.

I love birds. So many of them are smarter and more loyal than other pets. It sounds like you have a cutie there.

yes it is a bad idea to get this started so early....Distract him
with some food or something else to chew on. Like a stick.
If you have any fruit trees in your yard apple, pear, cherry,
try acouple of these. Make sure you wash them first.
Have fun. And let him know who's boss

All parrots love to chew and gnaw. Get it part of a sweet gum tree to perch and chew on. This tree will not hurt her. Also hope she don't start plucking her feathers. This is very common. They love to gnaw and will have hours of fun climbing and gnawing on the sweet gum.
