wide, medium, and close grip... Whats the diff?? My lame friend told me that wide is used for the outer chest and close is for inner.. I dont really know jack sqat about this stuff, I'm 17 and just starting out.. Is there someone here who I can add on yahoo messanger who can help me with this kinda stuff?? thnx

wide grip to make your chest wider.
medium =this is what everybody does
close grip= I do this more for my tricep=

Its more important if you focus more on Incline,Flat,and decline press at a medium grip..

Alot of people do chest and tricep .

Two points need to be made here:
Your friend is correct about the grips working varying parts of the chest. Its important to work on proper form to prevent injury, which may mean skipping a lot of heavy lifting until you're comfortable and confident with lifting.
