It will come out but it will take a few washings. Try using dish washing liquid as a shampoo for a couple of rinses and then use shampoo.

Dawn dishwashing soap will work eventually. Vaseline takes a long time to get out!!! An easy removal of nits from lice is OLIVE OIL. It makes the nits come loose from the follicle easily, and it conditions your hair too! And it rinses away easily, with one shampooing!

The important thing about lice is getting rid of all the nits. They WILL come back if you don't get them all. Take a light and look closely at the head and only look at small sections of the hair at a time. Nix will kill the hatched lice, but not the nits. Getting all the nits out of hair can take hours. Vaccum everywhere and put pillows and stuffed animals in the dryer for 20 minutes if they can go. If not store in tightly sealed plastic bags for 2 weeks, or put in the freezer (in a bag) if they are small.

Vaseline will not kill lice. Try using a hand cleaner for mechanics, such as Goop to get the Vaseline out of your hair. Then go by something to kill the lice. I hope this helps.

Just shampoo daily for a couple of days. For lice, comb with a fine-tooth comb while your hair is still wet.
