But you can get a good family retriever in the range of 400-800.

0-$1200.00 if you are looking for a companion or family dog start at the Golden Retriever Rescue. They have puppies to older dogs. If they have nothing that fits your needs they are very good at directing you to what you want.

There are tons of golden rescue organizations. Most charge aroun 200-300 to try and make up some of their costs.

Less than 3 years of age - $250.
3 through 7 years of age - $225.
8 years and older - $175.

That's what one rescue organization charges for rescue. Good Luck!!
