My mom had an old recipe in her original crock pot recipe book that came with it, 35 yrs ago or so. She has lost it but I just remember how good it was. She told me it had horseradish and worchestire sauce in it, which is what made it so good. I tried allrecipes.com to no avail, anyone know the actual recipe? I would appreciate it! Thanks.

Crockpot Beef Stew

2 lb Beef chuck or stew meat, cut in 1" cubes
1/4 c Flour
1 1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Pepper
1 1/2 c Beef broth
1 ts Worcestershire sauce
1 Garlic clove
1 Bay leaf
1 ts Paprika
4 Carrots; sliced
3 Potatoes; diced
2 Onions; chopped
1 Celery stalk; sliced
2 ts Kitchen Bouquet; (opt)

Place meat in crockpot. Mix flour, salt, and pepper, and pour over meat; stir to coat meat with flour. Add remaining ingredients and stir to mix well. Cover and cook on Low 10-12 hours. (High: 4 to 6 hours). Stir stew thoroughly before serving. I usually don't put in the onions and last time I made stew, I tripled the amount of potatoes, celery and carrots. It stretches the stew and makes it last longer

It is so simple to cook with a crock pot and you'll find that you'll use it alot once you try it. You can brown some stew meat then put it in the crock pot with vegetables of your choice and put 1/4 cup water and whatever seasonings you like to use in it and let it cook for 6-8 hours and enjoy. I use mine alot and put everything in it to cook. You can put it on in the am and have a meal at dinner time and it's so easy to use. You just need to experiment with it and you can really never go wrong.

A veg is a plant or part of a herb used as food

Both are good for you, each fruit/vegetable has different vitamins. Thus as more variety, as better. Vegetables have generally less sugar than fruits.
