I nearly did then realised there was something fishy about it.

I was worried I would loose my sole if I upset the cod father but was assured he would keep a plaice for me.

I was told it was because I did not want to give a donation but I pointed out I was not a cheap skate and knew all about the sharks after my money anyhow.

Cod is a good fish to cook so is trout. But, cod provides much more of a meal than a simple trout does....

I do believe in cod and in trout. But I have found that cods are much more deceitful than trouts, so I don't believe them as much.

As the fisherman said in high waves : LET US SPRAY

A baby cod is a scrod

Do NOT go into Boston and ask a taxi Driver if he can take you
some place to get SCROD. He will tell you "yes", but most people do not use the past plu-perfect subjunctive tense.

Yes. I believe the Holy Word of the Fishing Guide, that says Cod created the world and mankind in six days, about 6000 years ago. I believe that Chiclids are the sons of Cod and that only through repenting for our sins and praying to them can we reach Cod. All you acthyists and aghotics out there, you're all going to Hell unless you accept the Chiclids as your saviors! You don't believe me but I know it's true because it says so in the Fishing Guide!

You should try fried fish with white rice and soysauce mixed with lemon, but don't add to much. Dip the fish in the sauce. I swear it's so good. I'm ******* hungry.

If we keep overfishing the world's oceans at the current rate, in a few years all that will be left will be the memory of cod.

("Grandpa, tell us again about Cod." -- "Yes, once there was a deep-sea critter that moved in schools so dense they could stop ships, so numerous they could feed millions. And they did feed millions, for a while. Now they're all gone." -- "Wow. Neat story....")
