There are tests out there like the EPT that you can take even 5 days before your period and know. A blood test will let you know right away within 1/2 hour at Dr office. If you missed your period a blood test will detect right away as well as the EPT.

A blood test normally can detect within days of your missed period. It is the most accurate.

Blood tests take longer than any other test. EPT can tell you before you miss your period. First urine of the morning is best, best HCG level detected. Most hospitals and clinics use urine tests because they take only minutes. The blood can tell you how far along you are because the HCG levels double every day.

If your blood is sent to the lab early in the day you can get results the same day if not the next day u are guaranteed results. I knew I was pregnant before I missed my cycle. Every-ones body is different so it depends on if your body.
