I say NO WAY to Pantene and like products. Spend the extra couple of bucks and buy professional products. places like Trade-Secret and Master Cuts will often have 2 for 1 sales where you can buy two HUGE bottles of a professional shampoo and conditioner for about $12. That's a bargain in itself for the quanity and quality!
Using cholesterol to make your hair hydrated can actually dry it. I'd forego the mayo and instead use slightly warmed olive oil and a conditioner mixed together, smacking on unwashed hair and let it sit, preferably covered with a plastic cap. Use the blow drier to heat it up if you must while it's on your head. Try washing your hair every other day if you can, instead opting to rinse it with warm water to get rid of product and then condition as usual.
Always be sure to rinse with cool water to seal cuticles. Avoid using drying shampoos and products on your hair as well - easier said then done. If my hair is being fussy and feels like straw, I'll opt to use silicon on it and just throw it back into a tidy braid for a few days instead of moussing it, and blow drying it. Be sure to get regular trims at a good salon where a cosmetologist uses sharp shears. It does make all the difference.

You want a home remedy that wont cost too much right? Try combing mayonnaise through your hair. Wrap it up in a towel and let it sit for a while, amount of time is up to you. When you are ready, was it out with a conditioning shampoo and use a conditioner. Don't towel dry because that causes frizzes and can lead to breakage. Repeat as often as you like, it works!

A good mayonnaise that contains egg is a great help, damp hair, apply mayo wrap hair in a towel wait a few minutes then wash out. Also make sure you are using the correct shampoo for your hair type and dilute the shampoo keep an old bottle fill it two thirds with shampoo and one third water and mix gently.

use garnier fructis long and strong shampoo and conditioner... it's the best. my hair is so long and silky. and try putting conditioner on your hair when it's dry and wrap your head in clear wrap (like stuff used to wrap sandwiches) and leave it in for an hour. then rinse it out and your hair will feel brand new.
