it needs to be a roomy 4 door that gets decent gas mielage but still has power to tow a hefty load??

Research, research, research....have you test driven any of these vehicles yet ?
You should go out & do that. Find out which one YOU like !
All the "oppinions" @ the w.w.w are not a substitute for actually driving a vehicle & seeing how it suits YOUR individual needs, desires & budget.
Everybody has an answer as to which vehicle works for THEM.
But YOU need to see what works for YOU.

buy american, both ford and chevy have excellent products, I'm partial to chevy. Depending on load you get it in 1/2 ton 3/4 ton and 1ton, if yoy really need power and economy try the Duramax diesel

gas saver, Colorado, Avalanche Canyon. Still have the hauling capacity, and if you choose the crew cabs, lots of passenger room in the back seats. Love my Colorado !
