She should have an x-ray done the last week, especially when you expect a singleton. Your vet will want to take measurements of the pup's head and her pelvis to determine if a c-section should be scheduled. I don't bother with ultrasound, it's too easy to get an inaccurate count. As far as it being normal, it's obviously normal for her, whether only one egg was fertilized or the others were resorbed Clients? Papers? Very amusing! For someone so experienced, and with what they describe as a 'breeding program', they should know their breed well enough to know how common singleton litters are, no? Experienced breeders do not create new accounts on public forums to ask the overwhelmingly clueless about their own breed. Amazing that you were able to title your b*tch, get all her health testing done AND pay a CH stud fee for only $2K. You'll have to let the rest of us know how that's done

Both my Golden Retrievers would love to carried around, as they feel they only weigh 10 pounds, not the 80 plus they really do. However, as much as I would like to make them happy, they have to settle for the leash, and maybe some lap time on the couch.

Because they are small and easy to carry. Much easier and faster than walking them on a leash. Would be kind of hard to carry a lab around!

Well.. most people consider their small dog as their baby and they inherently want to and do carry it.. They may love their St. Bernard but it is too big to carry as you know. that is the reason

b/c small dogs are easy to carry and don't break your back like labs or alsatians do. even as a puppy, you dont want to carry your lab around b/c then it will want to be carried around as an adult - and 60-70 lbs is a lot to carry around, vs. 20 lbs or less for a small dog.

Are you seriously asking this question because you don't know? Or because you are running out of questions to ask? big dogs are harder to carry, but I have a German Shepard and chow, I carry him around,.....lol cause he's a baby. Isn't he a cutey?

large dogs are hard to carry because they weigh more. It's hard to carry them.small dogs weigh less and are easier to carry.
