God's original intent was not upon competition. when sin entered the world, competition entered because it is at that point, the entry of sin, that death entered the world. Death causes competition over environment. In the beginning it was not that way. In the beginning God provided all creatures with everything they needed without the need to compete for space because there was no death among creation. When nature is once again restored to its original state and is relieved from the curse of sin and death, then competition will end. The lion will lay down with the lamb.

When God created Heaven and Earth, first Man and first woman and all the creatures . There was a blessed Peace upon the Earth. God called it the Garden of Eden. There was no sin. No competition. Then Satan showed the evil force and and coaxed Eve to eat the forbidden fruit of Knowledge. Upon disobeying what God had told them, she ate the fruit . Hence therefore, sin began. Competition began. Animals have always competed for food. That is in Gods plan. An animal was not created like Humans. Even Humans would use the animal for a source of food. What a Wonderous plan. Animals compete , always for food.

God did not create earth for things to be the way they are. God created earth and all things to live in harmony with Him.(you can read about this in Genesis, where God created Adam and Eve and He went for a peacefull stroll in the garden with them only to find that they had ruined everything by eating from the tree of good and evil and that brought sin into our world.) If there was not sin,we could still be living in harmony with God on earth but because of sin believers must wait till our death on earth to be reunited with God. What a great day that will be!!!!!! God bless!

God created the Earth originally for all inhabitants ( human and animal ) to live together in harmony and peace. Adam and Eve were disobedient, so we now have a "dog eat dog" world with strife, death and suffering. I know this sounds rather simplistic, but most answers worth a hoot are! But, rejoice, things will be set straight again one day. Soon, I hope!!! Until then Steph, do the best you can to love those around you, human and beast.

His original intent was that all life would live together in harmony under the Lordship of Man.

When man fell it changed everything. Death entered the picture with the curse, and it will remain this way until the Millennium.

Some are competing and some are just running as fast as they can so they don't get eaten.

He didn't make it that way, we did, when Adam and Eve sinned against Him in the Garden.
