Calling foolishness "bravery" doesn't actually make it bravery.
Bravery is doing what you need to do, despite the odds, despite your fears, despite opinions telling you otherwise.
Foolishness is throwing yourself in front of danger you don't need, the world doesn't need.
Steve Irwin was a showboater. He was an arrogant fool who pushed, tossed, prodded, yanked and tussled with animals that wanted to be left alone. He forgot the basic truth. Animals are noble yes. But part of what makes them noble and animals is that they're dangerous. They want to be left alone. Leave them alone. He didn't. He acted like he was untouchable. He endangered his children thumbing his nose at the world and these dangerous animals. And for it all, he died.
What did he accomplish? He got his family rich. That's something to call him brave for?
Again, I say, foolish.
