Why not? So long as it was a neutral, public place. However, I wouldn't even think of a "live" meeting unless we'd chatted for some time (i.e. long enough for the "best behaviour" to fade away).

Oh, I'm assuming by "online" you mean via a medium like Yahoo! Chat or here on Answers and NOT a personalized dating service.

umm i did.. but i think u should like tlk to the person on the phone first and if u go and meet him dont go by urself bring like ur best friend she dosent have to be right next to u but watch u and have some kind of signal like if things r ok or if u think ur in trouble.. but i think its ok i met my ex online we were together for 7 months.. just be carefull..

if u know enough about them then u should but don't meet him with out someone first knowing and even doublr date just to get someone else to see what u may not just be safe

I have already did before. It depends on how your relationship is going to be developped. I mean, it does not matter how did you get to know each other. But after you know each other and hang out, you are not net friends anymore, you are something deeper
