Yes, I am a Christian and find it offensive that the conservative Christians believe that they "own" Christianity.
They remind me of the Pharisees that Jesus rebuked.
They have set up their own set of rules and guide lines and standards to follow and if you don't meet their standards then
"You are not a Christian!" This is Baloney Sausage! Only God can judge another persons heart! One day they will be judged by God for being a stumbling block to others

I think that there are some Christians, or people who say they are Christians that give all Christians a bad name. Every person is different and you shouldn't judge all Christians by the behavior of a few people who claim to be saved. I am a conservative Christian and I'm tired of people not liking me before they even get to know me just because they had a bad experience with someone else, it's really not fair.

Humans tend to put down any other human that doesn't think or do things just the way we think they should.
Should we? No, of course not.
Do we? Yes, we do, regardless of affiliation.
Look at most of the other answers given to this question. Because the writers refer to conservative Christians as 'they,' we can deduce they do not include themselves in that group. Most seem to be other kinds of Christians -- center, left, free, whathaveyou. However, these writers are doing to the conservative Christians the very thing they are accusing the conservative Chritstians of doing. It's impossible to call someone else critical or judgmental without being exactly the same thing yourself.
Honestly, all Christians, regardless of denomination or any other classification, need to realize that when Paul was talking about the different parts of the Body and how they work together, he never said the eye has to agree that being an elbow is the 'right' way to serve. It IS the right way for the elbow to serve. And being an eye is the right way for the eye to serve. We aren't all called to be copies of one another. Each is called to serve as God has called him or her to serve. The fact that God calls me to one thing and you to another -- as long as both are Biblical -- just means we have a very creative God. I hope we can agree on that.
Please, let's quit throwing stones at one another as if our brothers and sisters were the enemy. We have a real enemy and can't very well fight him if we're fighting amongst ourselves.

Doesn't seem that way to me. Do mean in the same way you're trying to cut down conservative Christians? And if yes, then why do you think that is?

Yes. The fundamentalists believe that their way is the only way. They have the one true version of Christianity and everyone else is wrong. They believe the bible literally, word for word. They do not realize it was translated many times over hundreds of years and many languages and things were lost, added, and changed in translation. Also, why is it so hard to believe that people 2 or 3 thousand years ago also wrote in metaphor and symbolism. I think there are eternal spiritual principles and truths in the bible in a metaphysical sense, but to believe it literally and condemn those who don't is just ignorant and shortsighted.

Not nearly as much as the radical Islamists are cutting down all other religions; in fact the radical Islamists are trying to kill off everyone who is not a Muslim. Seems to me that is far more of a problem then what the Conservative Christians are saying about other Christians, but then again, what were the radical Islamists doing before they started kill? Something to ponder I guess.

I think "Christians" in general spend a lot of time judging and putting down a lot of people. I really don't understand it. The most loving, giving and tolerant people I have met in life have either been agnostic or people that don't attend church regardless of their beliefs. Ironically, I think that if there is a God, he is more concerned with how you treat other people than what church you go to and what you believe.

I think Christians spend a great deal of time judging others. They are always trying to find something wrong. We should get our eyes off of people, and keep them on the Lord, and leave the judging to Him.
