No. The only reason they said to keep the earings in was to keep the skin from healing itself, which can happen if a newly pierced ear is left without an earing for a day or so.

The only reason your ear might act up is if you're allergic to something in the new earings. My ears used to get red and sore because I found out later I had an allergy to the nickle in the gold earrings. I ended up having to either get hypo-allergenic (surgical steel) or plastic, then problem solved.

If youre ear does start to do this, just look for nonallergic metals.

it's always best to follow the directions they give you at the piercing place - however...healing times vary from person to person. all my piercings healed much faster than expected. if i were you, i'd leave the new earrings in as long as they are plain posts, and don't have a super skinny rod.

you are supposed to keep the studs in so long so your ears can heal. The studs have larger posts than regular earings.

not at all...just make sure to continue to keep them cleanand if they are hoops...that are not too heavy they will heal faster becasue more oxygen will get to the hole and they will be easier to clean and stuff wont build up on them

One, or possibly both of your ears will fall off for not following instructions. Were you not warned about this fact............
