right now id go for a good used one,,with low miles on it,,if you drive that much your going to wear a new one out in a hurry and it will depreciate on you faster than you can pay for it,,a good used low miles vehicle would be a better investment,,as far as driving goes,,you can find some really good deals on used ones too this time of year,,every dealer wants to move them to make room for more newer ones,,good luck with it,,i hope this help,d..and have a good labor day.

Driving 20,000 miles a year, your car will lose value more quickly than "normal". When you buy a new car, you lose a considerable amount of value as soon as you drive it off the lot. I would definitely go with a used vehicle.
The choice of a late model used car, or an old one with low mileage is going to depend on several factors. First is cost. An older car, even with low mileage, is going to cost less to purchase than a newer model. Al older car may also have more problems, just due to age, so there may be higher repair costs involved. Insurance costs will be less on an older vehicle compared to a similar newer one.
The next thing to consider is what you want. Some people want a nice looking car, to make a good impression. Some are looking for basic transportation. Understand your own needs and wants, and you can make the choice that is best for you!

Never buy new -- you will destroy the value in one year at the rate you pile up miles. Buy a three year old vehicle in very good condition -- it already has lost 40% of it's value so whatever you do to it with mileage won't matter. Drive it two or three years and buy another. Remember -- a car is NOT an investment, it is only a consumable product (and at 20K miles a year, you do a LOT of consuming!).

I prefer late model used. The kinks are usually ironed out, parts are easy to get and there is a lot of miles left in the vehicle.

At 20K miles per year, your car will depreciate quickly. I presume that you want a reliable car that could last five years min (100,000 miles). Look for a Camry, Avalon or Accord with low mileage
