I'm only 11 so I don't want to try to do it myself and I'll probably go to a salon.

Well if your going to a salon then they can give you two slightly lighter tones in shades of brown that will give your hair the effects of sun kissed hair without looking way obviouse. The prosses they will more than likely use is called foiling. I think you,ll find out that they will have shades of brown that matches you hair tone but will boost its demention. With hair as dark as yours don,t ever try at home products ,they will turn your hair brassy .

Too bad no unnatural colours, I had dark red (not too light) highlights (I'm Chinese), okay for school, not attention grabbing, they look extremly nice against dark hair than blonde highlights that you see everywhere( which are starting to fade out). Considering you're only 11, I say you should really consider it, I got it as a Birthday present, the highlights won't wash out till after 3 months, you could always get one of those loreal/garnier hair dyes that washes out in 7-10 shampoos, so if you hate it, just wash it alot

i do no longer think of it could seem undesirable in any respect as long as you bypass to somebody who's conscious of what they're doing. And as long as you are not getting too vast of strands highlighted. I recommend which you do no longer do bleach because of the fact it is going to assessment too plenty, whilst highlights are meant to combination in. seem for a lighter brown (very almost blonde) shade and against your black hair it is going to look lighter than this is. despite you do, do no longer DO IT your self. I did that when and ended up with blue hair...i'm speaking SMURF blue. be careful approximately choosing your stylist...and strong success.

You are only 11, so I don't think that you should do this to your hair, anyway. I also think that Asian hair is some of the most beautiful hair in it's natural state - I lived in Korea for two years, so I saw a lot of it. Be happy with your hair. You are only 11 and if you start now, you are going to damage your hair. Please, don't do it!

Go to a beauty supply and buy some pin-in streaks & get the look that way. If your hair is really black (dark) you have too many pigments in it to "LIFT" out to get it light enough. Besides, it'll eventually break off & fall out from being weakened. Try something temporary like my suggestion

Believe me, God knows how many of us are envious your black hair. But if you really want to do it, the highlights in dark red will look good. Please do not put any blond in your hair as it does not look natural or remotely nice. Also, I suggest Garnier Nutrisse Cream or the highlight kits from Loreal.

im asian and im getting my hair highlighted... a gold-brown that is only a little lighter than your natural hair so it doesnt look like u got highlights but you just have some natural light streaks.

Please don't do it! Asian hair is so absolutely beautiful and I hate when I see Asian girls with these light streaks all through their beautiful black shiny hair. It looks incredibly fake. I guess i just don't think anybody with black hair should have any type of highlight. Looks better without!

go for brown, light or dark (or maybe both!). that looks sooo good.

i hope your hair is straight, becuase i think straight long hair is the best! and it looks sooo gooood with highlights!

also, try a style where the top is brown and the bottom is brown. when you leave your hair down its brown, when its up its black! its fun to trick people! :)
