Why do Protistants and Bretherans not get along?

My aunt has always told me the protistants and catholics refuse to get along and meet eye to eye with a bretheran, why?

Never heard that. There's basically two groups in the Christian church: Catholics and Protestants. Protestants covers a wide range, including Brethrens. Everyone for the most part (there are rare exceptions) believes that their own church's teachings are correct and the next group's teachings are wrong. The reason for that is that each church has their own interpretations which don't agree with other churches.
