The best thing to do is get a secured card and fund it with what you can afford.
This will give you good credit marks and make it better for you when you go to a bank for a card.
They will not charge you as much interest.

Alot of banks have credit cards where you pay the maximum credit line. Therefore THEY are secured. It's a great way to start building up your credit back.

Check with your local bank, they may offer you a secured credit card if you have a checking and saving account with them.
