Yes. If a person does not fully understand their chosen faith, then they can definitely have a false sense of security. The problem with security in faith is directly related to the quality of the teaching and with the soundness of the teaching. There is a deliberate dissemination of false teaching going on today and millions of people are being sucked in to damning situation unaware. The Bible offers the only credible sense of sound security because it is God's word and it has stood the test of time and criticism as only God's word can.

I see a lot of people who say they are Christians and think they will enjoy eternal life simply because they say they believe in the Lord. They read John 3:16 and think that is a guarantee to God's kingdom. They ignore Matthew 7:21 and other similar scripture, I think they have a false sense of security.

Yes, you could, but why dwell on insecurities when that can be so easily changed through knowingness?

If you can see yourself as a spirit having a human experience, rather than a human trying to gain a spiritual experience...you are living in true reality...the fear factors fade to insignificance, once you realize that you are simply on a short journey away from Home, to accomplish spirit purpose...& this lifetime, in this place, is just a tool for such...See???

Fear is such a limiting block...it sooo keeps you from seeing & being & enjoying your experiences, your learning, your growing...it's such a wonderous trip once that human character is put aside...Sooooo...

Care not, what will "happen" once your body can no longer retain your spirit...it is then that you will again regain flight & freedom...till then, however...spend your lifetime...literally, spend it...it's yours to do so....may as well get the most of it while you can, right??? Good Journey--No Fear, Dear!!!

Yes. I do, that is only if you don't believe in GOD!! If you belong to the FATHER, there is no need to have a false sense of security! He tells us that "Who so ever shall believe in Him, shall have everlasting life". If you believe and trust in the Lord, y would u need 2 have a false sense of anything? His Word tells us all that we need to do 2 receive eternal life>READ YOUR WORD!!!

For some people - I know one - she lives for death. Everything she does revolves around her religion and how much better things will be after she dies. I feel sorry for her - having a one-sided life.
And I think that my husband did. We weren't religious fanatics or anything, but he firmly believed in God. He died by suicide three years ago, and I'm sure that in his pain he thought that he would go straight to heaven where he would find peace and happiness.

Yes it is possible, Satin can blind you to the truth so you will think you are living right when you are not..He tricks people all the time. He will make them believe they are Christan's and they are not. I think the word denomination was miss spelled, It is not in the HOLY BIBLE anywhere,,. so it is not of GOD .If it is not of God then it is of SATIN. So if it is of SATIN should it not be called demon-nations??? I wonder about this all the time.. Think about it.

well, in my opinion, if you know that Jesus is God's son and has forgiven all sins past and present, your life is eternal in Heaven. once saved always saved is what i was taught and what i believe. everyone messes up, no one is perfect and cant go one day without doing something or thinking something wrong. but Jesus took care of all that is you believe in him.
